Recently, we came across a published patent from LG which reveals some interesting details. In details, we can see that LG Display full-screen module sports a rounded-off shape. There is also a hole on the top of the panel. We can expect this panel will store the selfie camera as well as the lens. This new details can be LG’s new approach to the standard top “notch”.

According to our sources, there is a chance that this LG Display full-screen module is going to appear on the LG G7 flagship. In details, we expect LG G7 specs to sport a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2048 pixels. Under the hood, LG G7 is going to take power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. In term of the storage, LG G7 sports 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB ROM, expandable up to 256GB. LG G7 camera system sports a 19MP rear sensor and a 13MP selfie shooter. Finally, this LG phone packs a 4000mAh juice box.

On the other hand, the LG Display is also commissioned for various third-party components. Most prominently according to the latest reports, that includes the OLED panels for two of Apple’s upcoming iPhone models. Furthermore, there is also another interesting detail about the LG Display full-screen module. There is an entire and ready display arrangement complete with ribbon cables and a controller. However, the new patent doesn’t reveal any references to models, nor any dimensions.
