It seems that after not really successful 2014 in sales,or even previous years, HTC plans to create more and more mid-range handset instead of high-end smartphone in order to cut input cost. That activities can helpfully improve Taiwanese company’s profit. We’ve been seeing a lot of Desire handsets in the last couple of months, and it seems like another one is on the way.

The upcoming high-end flagship HTC One M9 is expected to come at MWC 2015. Besides that, according to upleaks, there is a Desire series device, the HTC A55, at mid-range segment but interestingly packs some amazing specs also.

Therefore, its phone features a 5.5″ QHD display, is powered by Mediatek MT6795 octa-core 64 bit chipset. Additionally, the HTC A55 will pack 3GB of RAM, 32 on-board storage in hardware department. Moreover, 20 MP main camera as well as 13MP or 4 UltraPixel front camera are astonishing in this range. Don’t stop at that, its phone allegedly has BoomSound speakers, Bluetooth 4.1, less than 3000mAh battery (not bif battery) and Sense 7.0 on top of Android 5.0.

About colors, its phone will available arrive with three different colors: White Rose Gold, Gray, and Brown Gold. It also be available in two versions: one is for Asia region, A55#DTUL, Dual Sim and the other for EMEA market, A55#UL, Single Sim. That dividing into two kind of phone are really smart and is definitely suitable for each market as well. Its phone is announced to be released in Feb 2015.

As you can see, it’s quite easy to realize too much high-end specs packing in this device, and it’s absolutely belongs to flagship range. And it highly looks like a bit odd it carries the Desire branding. Although this source is not completely reliable, but it’s true, its phone is quite interesting.
