Jayavel’s story: an inspiration from India
Today, we’ll talk about Jayavel’s story, which is a motivation for those who want to make it big in life. To start with, he is an 22-year-old guy from India, who grew up on the streets of Chennai by begging day by day. Now, he is preparing a new course in Italy, after finishing a course at Cambridge University. What creates the magic?
Back to 36 years ago, Jayavel and his family had to leave Nellore to Chennai after their crops were damaged. With no income, they must wander and beg on the streets to live daily. The situation was more serious when his mother fell into drinking after his father died. All of those terrible things occurs when he was young. After that, he got to beg harder for money and food for his familly. The guy himself said: “We used to sleep on one such pavement. If it would rain, we would try to find other shelter in any nearby shop until the cops came and chased us out of there.”
In 1999, the chance came to Jayavel when he met Uma Muthuraman. At that time, Uma was working on a project to help children on the street. She met him on a Chennai street and offered to help him. After a little hesitation, he joined a school under Uma’s wings.
Jayavel’s life now: awards for those who made the best use of opportunities
Jayavel passed the 12th general examinations with high scores and got a ticket to Cambridge University. However, he decided to continue learning in Glyndwr University in Wales and studied a course about enhancing performance of race cars first. Hopefully, he will make his dreams come true. Jayavel’s story is a inspirational message for those who want to overcome the hardships in life and live their dreams.
