iPhone X: OLED 5.8 inch, super thin
Last few month, we got a rumor which said that there was a model which is called as iPhone X. It will come with a glass design, a borderless OLED display with an embedded Home button, wireless charging, and other breakthrough (for the iPhone) technology. Reportedly, this model has the internal code name “Ferrari,” which sounds quite respectable. Today, we got more news from a “supply chain sources” about an OLED iPhone 8 and the upgrades of iPhone 7s and 7s Plus this year.
Like the previous rumored, the iPhone 8 or iPhone X will sport a 5.8″ flexible OLED display sheet that will be curved around all sides for a “wraparound” design. While the other proximity, light and other sensors, as well as the finger scanner, will somehow be embedded in the front. However, about iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, we are not sure that whether they still keep the regular LCD display. Yet, there is still a chance for Apple to use OLED panels in all three model.
There is one thing that we should notice that the 5.8-inch is the panel size. It means that the flat area of iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) will be actually smaller than 5.8-inch. According to an analyst, there will be enough volume and quality to satisfy a massive launch of OLED screen phones in 2017 including Samsung and other smaller OLED screen makers.
iPhone X: Availability
Apple does very well in preventing the leaked of their new devices. Therefore, there is no thing to ensure that what we have heard today will come true. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of rumors like these, so there are pretty good chances about their credibility. The months ahead are bound to tell us even more details about them.
