Samsung forces Apple to share the ‘best camera phone’ title
In details, the Apple iPhone 8 device got the highest score ever in the camera test carried out by DxO Labs. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 handset has beaten all its opponents to earn the same score from DxOMark. In case you haven’t heard of them, DxO Labs and DxOMark are two well-known organizations which have a good reputation on technical measurements of lenses and cameras. More specifically, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has 94 points, and the Apple iPhone 8 does as well.
According to the results by DxOMark, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 receives the first perfect score ever of 100 for photography. It’s all thanks to its excellent camera setup, fast and accurate autofocus, good detail in bright light and indoor conditions, as well as the bright and vivid colors it captures. Although we don’t know the differences between the two tests ran by DxO Labs and DxOMark, we can assume that the Apple phone did as well as the Samsung device.
However, this result might change in the next few weeks, especially when the new Google Pixel phones are coming.
Why mentioning the Pixel smartphones here, you wondered? Well, last year the Google Pixel mobile climbed to the top of the DxO camera chart right on its announce date! Therefore, let’s wait and see if the two Apple and Samsung flagships can hold on to their crowns or not!
