iOS phone VS Windows phone: which is the better choice?

Android smartphones are no questions the most popular in our market nowadays. However, when considering other operating systems in the top 3, would you rather buy an iOS phone or a Windows phone?

1 iOS phone VS Windows phone interface

First of all, let’s compare user interface. After RAM and the core specs, the interface is the next important factor that helps decide which smartphone is suitable for the user. Back when Windows first launched their tile pattern, it received controversial feedback from customers because of the difficulty in operating. However, as Windows phones gradually grew in their prime time, the unique pattern started to become popular. Ever since Windows 8.1 OS update was rolled out, people began to really enjoy the UI. It gave the feeling that everything you need was ready on the home screen, and it was so easy to navigate with the tile system. That led to easy and fast multi-tasking, which gained Windows phone the reputation for office and business use they have nowadays.

Meanwhile, iOS user interface comes with their own, unique layout. The system offers beautiful icons, menu and wallpaper. It takes you a while to get used to how it works. But once you already get accustomed, you would find it easy to operate. However, when compared with what we have in Windows phone, iOS interface is left behind in terms of multi-tasking capability and its popularity in the market.

2. Web browsing

Between iOS phone VS Windows phone web browser, many users find it faster and easier to navigate in Windows than iOS. The reason for this is that Windows phones support Internet Explorer, which is pretty advanced since Windows 8 version. iOS users are more used to Safari web browser, which is also swift but not as smooth and as fast as Internet Explorer. Therefore, Windows OS just won another point over its competitor.

3. Smartphone security

iOS mobiles can really pay back Windows in this aspect. As smartphone security is becoming more and more of a concern for many users now, iPhones are being selected mostly for their high level of protection. Pretty much everything in an iPhone can be sealed with a password, be it pattern, fingerprint or numeric. An iPhone user hardly has to worry about leaking their information, even when the phone is in other’s hands. Meanwhile, Windows phones security is like …. Android, which is rather weak and easily attacked.

4. Hardware and system

Targeted as a device to serve as a business assistant, Windows smartphones usually come with strong performances and fast actions. The RAMs in this OS are usually swift and impressive. On the meanwhile, iOS phones often come with smaller RAM and weaker processors. The reasons for this are also simple: iPhones are made to be more of entertainment devices, not a working one. Therefore, the main focus of iPhone has been its design, camera and other functions that help users relax.

5. Closing note

As we mentioned above, if you are looking for more of a device to help keep you entertained, iOS phone could be a perfect choice. iPhones are loved for its amazing camera quality that no other can compared, despite the small resolution figures. It also comes with premium music experience and elegant design that looks great on your hand. However, if you are more of a working person that needs a lot of fast performance and office function, Windows phone, with those advantages are surely a mobile for you.
