Apple is about to release iOS 11.3 for their compatible iPads and iPhones in the few days. If you are ready, let’s check out the best five features you might have in this upcoming updates!
1. Battery Health
There has been an absolute irony that a company was facing over 60 class action lawsuits in America about the rapid decline of battery health in its devices. However, it seems that Apple would change the game again with the new features in its upcoming update. In details, the update offers their iDevices’ detailed battery insights. That would include the iDevices’ battery health, battery degradation, new performance options and reminders to replace their battery.
Depending on the condition, a user will be able to toggle the switch between performance and battery life. Also, Apple claims that manually toggling the switch will affect battery life. In details, this means user’s with older iPhones will be able to get back the device performance without replacing the battery. Notably, there is no rival desktop, or mobile operating can come close to this until now.
2. Privacy
Whenever there would be an update, security and privacy would be on Apple list. In details, the privacy update would interfere the device’s performance in some way. According to info found in the beta, the Privacy icon will show up on your device and ask to use your personal information” – including Apple ID password. Additionally, Apple collects personal data to personalise the user experience, which provides transparency between the user and company to build strong security. Moreover, the setting app icon for privacy has changed from a grey to blue one.
3. Four new Emojis
The sad news is, this feature is only limited to the Apple iPhone X users. With this new software update, Apple adds four new Animojis characters. Lion, Dragon, Skull, and Panda are the four new characters in this update. Moreover, iPhone X users are now able to share their voice messages. Further, the voice message comes with the emojis a lion, a bear, a dragon or a skull, which brings the total number of animated characters to 16.
4. Messages on iCloud
Meanwhile, iMessages now seamlessly sync with iCloud to free up storage on your phone. Furthermore, this also means that one can access messages by signing into your Apple ID. In details, if you delete a message on one device, the same happened on other iDevices as well. Besides, messages on iCloud will free up space by keeping photos and other message attachments.
5. Multi-room support for AirPlay 2
For those of you who do not know, this feature helps you to play the same music on more than one Apple devices. If you have a Home Pod, an Apple TV and third-party speakers, now you will be able to play music on these devices simultaneously. Once AirPlay 2-compatible products are widely available, you will be able to use AirPlay 2 to control all of the different devices throughout your home, for a full multi-room audio experience.
iOS 11.3 top five features
According to Apple, iOS 11.3 will be released to the public in the spring with an extended beta testing period. Technically, the launching date kicks off Tuesday, March 20. Meanwhile, the beta will be in testing throughout February and March. While iOS 11.3 is currently limited to developers, Apple plans to make a public beta available for public beta testers shortly.
