Apparently, Huawei is seeding the latest software update to its flagship P20 Pro in India. This Huawei P20 Pro software update includes new features such as HiTouch, Paytm payments and also a June’s Android security patch. If you want to know how these new features work, then keep reading! For starter, P20 Pro’s users can access the HiTouch setting via an ‘eye’ icon at the upper-right screen corner after booting up the camera. Tapping on the icon will boot up the company’s Scan app, which can only access within the camera.

Here, you will find two tabs on the bottom, one labelled Shopping and other is the QR Code for scanning while shopping. This is similar to the Samsung Mall feature, that lets users select any picture from their gallery and search shopping sites for the product. There is also a new Paytm feature, which allows users to make payments through fingerprints. The option works when the phone is locked, or the screen is turned off. Besides, Huawei is also pushing Google security patches for additional device security. Thus, the transition animations are much smoother now.

Furthermore, the new Huawei P20 Pro software update advises users to back up their data before updating the device and ensure that there is enough internal storage. It will take between five to ten minutes for the patch to finish downloading. We were also expecting the company to enable 960fps Slow-mo and Zoom improvements in this update; as it did in the previous rollout for the Chinese P20 Pro units with the EMUI 8.1. In details, the super slow-motion video recording makes the device record videos at 960 fps. Besides, the super slow-motion mode will be available with a resolution of 720p.
