Huawei is also one of the brands to watch for this year, especially for the mid-range segment. Last year, it has released a very successful Huawei Nova. Recently, there have been talks about its successor, Huawei Nova 2, coming this year!

Huawei Nova 2 coming with Dual 13+13MP cam

This year, many brands have made quite a few splashes in the smartphone market. The most notable must be Nokia, with its most anticipated comeback in MWC. Nokia has introduced quite a few mid-range smartphones at the event, and it will be tough for other brands to compete. However, Huawei, as a renown player in the same segment as well, will not sit back idly. Lately, there have been words about a next mid-range smartphone from Huawei, which will be called Huawei Nova 2.

This phone will be the successor to the 2016 Huawei Nova. Under the hood, it will have an octa-core processor. The SoC is likely to be the newly announced Snapdragon 630 from Qualcomm, which is an upgrade over Nova’s Snapdragon 625. There will be two variants of this phone, one with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, and the other 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM. Both phones’ internal storage will be expandable by up to 256GB via microSD card.

The battery of Huawei Nova 2 has not been revealed, but it is expected to at least pack the same capacity as Nova (3020mAh). As for display, Nova 2 will sport a 5.2″ IPS LCD screen, with Full HD (1080×1920) resolution. The phone will also have a dual 13MP rear camera, with phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. On the other side is an 8MP selfie shooter. The last of known Huawei Nova 2 specs now is the OS, which will be the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
