Huawei Mate X specs
Besides the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei is now getting ready to launch their first foldable phone with the model number TAH-AN00 dubbed Huawei Mate X. First of all, let’s talk about the display. The Mate X specs feature an 8-inch OLED with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels. Besides, when folded, the foldable smartphone transforms into a dual-display handset. One side features a 6.6-inch screen (1148 x 2480 pixels, 19:5:9 ratio aspect).
Meanwhile, the other has a 6.38-inch display with a resolution of 2480 x 892 pixels and a 25:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, this phone takes power from the Kirin 980 chipset clocked at 2.6GHz. Speaking of the storage, this device comes in three versions: 6GB/ 8GB/ 12GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB of internal storage. There is a MicroSD card to upgrade the storage up to 256GB.
Additionally, this phone also comes with the 7nm Balong 5000 modem. It brings 5G support for this foldable smartphone. Moving on to the highlight of this device. For photography, the Mate X camera packs a 40MP primary sensor (f/1.8), an 8MP telephoto lens (f/2.4), a 16MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.2), and a ToF 3D camera. On the other side, the Huawei foldable phone is backed by a non-removable 4400mAh juice box that supports 55W fast charging. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a USB C port, and more…Lastly, regarding the operating system, this phone works on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.1.
Mate X release date and price
There is no information on the official launch date. We expect to see this phone in the third quarter of this year. On the other side, the Mate X price starts at CNY 14, 999 ~ $2191 for China market.
