Previously, Huawei has announced the release of the Huawei Mate SE handset. This new Huawei phone is said to be the upgraded variant of the Honor 7X with more advanced adjustment. In details, Huawei Mate SE specs sport a 5.9-inch IPS LCD with a tall 18:9 ratio with the resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Under the hood, this Huawei handset runs on a Hisilicon Kirin 659 processor. Additionally, this Huawei phone rocks a non-removable Li-Ion 3340mAh juice box.

Furthermore, Huawei Mate SE is going to have the latest Android 8.0 Oreo as the operating system. Moreover, this Huawei handset offers 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM. There is also expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD. On the other hand, Huawei Mate SE camera includes a dual 16MP + 2MP snapper on the back with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. Meanwhile, the front-facing shooter comes with 8MP for taking selfies.

However, ahead of the launch, it seems like Huawei has run into trouble with the US Government. In details, they suspect that the Huawei brand has a political tie with the Chinese government. As a result, the Chinese manufacturer can be a threat to the national security of US. For now, the US Government has already re-warned their citizens who want to purchase this handset. Additionally, they have put pressure on other carriers such as T-mobile, Verizon, and AT&T to distant themselves from this Chinese smartphone manufacturer. On the contrary, Huawei has denied any claim about their relationship with China government. They stated that they are “trusted by governments and customers in 170 countries worldwide.” Moreover, they also “poses no greater cybersecurity risk than any ICT vendors, sharing as we do common global supply chains and production capabilities”.
