Earlier today,  we caught the huge news from XDA-Developers regarding Huawei’s upcoming Mate series. In details, the leaked firmware files revealed more details about the new Huawei flagships: Mate 20 Lite, Mate 20, and Mate 20 Pro. Notably, the firmware file obtained was explicitly for the Mate 20. As we learned, the Mate 20 is going to be the first Huawei flagship to equip the powerful HiSilicon’s Kirin 980 CPU!

In details, the chipset is built on a 7nm process with crazy power efficiency and a 2.8GHz max clock speed. As a result, the chipset receives a 20% performance boost while also being 40% more power efficient than the current Kirin 970. Concerning battery size, the Mate 20 is slated to have a 4,200 mAh battery. Moreover, the screen will get larger at 6.3-inches while the Huawei Mate 20 Pro specs would have a large 6.9-inch display.

Whereas, the specific firmware files showcase that Huawei Mate 20 specs include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. On the other side, the Mate 20 appears to support wireless charging. Otherwise, the Mate 20 Pro is going to have an in-display fingerprint scanner according to XDA. Besides, the Mate 20 Lite could use the Kirin 710 CPU found on the Huawei Nova 3i. As we learned so far, the three variants are expected to come with Android P 9.0 out of the box. Also, the stock version should be based on EMUI with the same number version 9.0.
