Apart from the 40MP triple cam on the Mate 20 Pro mentioned in our last report, today we learnt that the phone’s display is likely to feature an OLED screen. Read on for more details about the Mate 20 Pro display!
Huawei Mate 20 Pro display and specs
Last year’s Mate 10 settled for a regular LCD panel while the Mate 10 Pro model featured an AMOLED screen. According to our latest report, it suggests that Huawei is making the same decision this year and even taking it a step further. To be specific, the upcoming Mate 20 Pro will not only have an OLED screen, but it’s going to be a curved one like the Mate RS Porsche Design. The source also says that it’s going to be manufactured by the Chinese panel maker, BOE, instead of LG like the last time on Mate 10 series.
In addition, an in-display fingerprint is also expected as part of the package. Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t mention anything about the regular Mate 20 variant. However, rumour has it that the new OLED displays from BOE are going into mass production to be ready on time for October launch. There are also rumours going around suggesting that the Mate 20 Pro will feature FIVE cameras. In details, the system includes two snappers of 13MP on the front and three shooters of 40MP + 20MP + 8MP on the back; as well as a HiSilicon Kirin 980 chip underhood.
As of now, nothing is officially confirmed so you’d be wise to hold your excitement for the time being. Regarding the Huawei Mate 20 Pro specs, the flagship sports a 6.23 OLED curved screen (2560 x 1440 pixels). Also, there supports 40W fast charging for its 3800mAh battery. Whereas, the Huawei phone might come with 6GB/8GB RAM and 256GB/ 512GB ROM (expand to 512GB).
