As mentioned above, there has gone ahead and outed a slew of new official images of the Huawei device through its Weibo account. In details, there comes more than simple teasers that were showing the box and the smartphone in two gradient colourways, blue and pink/purple. As we witness, the table is understated and black, with gold or rose gold text. Meanwhile, the handset uses a familiar design language.
On the rear, the handset sports three cameras in a vertical alignment that reminds us of the Huawei P20 Pro. However, the Honor Magic 2 is unique in the Huawei realm since it forgoes any notch for an almost entirely screen-only (100% ratio) look on the front. Besides, Huawei Honor Magic 2 camera equips the 16MP front-facing snapper in a slider and two lenses for 3D face unlocking.
Unfortunately, no fingerprint sensor to be seen, which may come with the under-display variety, or Honor chose to go with face identification only. Regarding Huawei Honor Magic 2 specs, the handset works with a 6.4-inch touchscreen with Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, there appears to ship with the Kirin 980 chipset, alongside 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Moreover, keeping the light is a 3,400 mAh battery with Huawei’s 40W fast charging. Also, the phone runs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top. As for the optics, there are a conventional sensor (16MP), a black and white one (24MP) and a telephoto lens (16MP).
