Before CES 2016, Huawei was said to be intending to enter the U.S. mobile market. And at the event, Huawei officially confirmed they really had the intention and would bring their new smartphone called Huawei GX8, which was also announced at the CES, to hit the U.S. Looking at the pictures, the handset seems cool with 4 rounded corners and an alloy body. According to the description, the GX8’s chassis is made of 90% metal, giving you a great feeling when holding.
On the front surface, you can see a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a 5MP camera for selfies and there is no physical home button but a “Huawei” logo at the bottom part. On the back, there is a cluster of a LED flash and a main 13MP shooter with OIS, sapphire lenses, plus a wider aperture to help produce higher quality photos in low light conditions. Besides, a fingerprint scanner is also on board and placed under the rear cam on Huawei’s new Smartphone for 2016.
Some other Huawei GX8 specs are a 3,000mAh battery, a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable ROM, 4G connectivity, and Emotion UI 3 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Accordingly, Huawei GX8 price is at $350 and expected to go on sale in March 2016 through Amazon or directly from GetHuawei.com.
