Huawei Face ID feature: how is it different from Apple?

Since the release of the brand new model iPhone X, FaceID has been one of this flagship’s most highlighted feature. So how does it work? For iPhone X camera system, Apple equipped in it a TrueDepth camera. This snapper then enables the phone’s Face ID facial recognition technology. While this system of Apple iPhone X is impressive, it seems like Huawei has another idea. Moreover, Huawei states that they have developed their depth-sensing camera system even better.

After the announcement of Honor V10, Huawei has released more information about their camera development. Notably, Huawei new camera system captures 300,000 points — 10 times higher than the iPhone X captures. Furthermore, their feature uses infrared and a projector to create a full 3D map of your face. Based on Huawei’s presentation, this innovative technology can allow the Face recognition to work in a variety of lighting conditions.

However, FaceID isn’t the only thing Huawei want to surpass Apple. This Chinese brand also tries their hand in the latest trend of emoticon – animated emojis. Especially, Huawei’s camera system can turn your facial expressions into emojis. The emojis can be fun, happy, creepy or a combination of various emotions, depending on yourself.
