After releasing the high-end HTC U12, the Taiwanese brand now introduces a more affordable variant of this device to their fans. Moreover, the HTC U12 Life comes with a great catch: a unique back panel design. Notably, the back of this HTC device features two distinct textures. The first part is a smooth acrylic glass with horizontal lines etched into the glass. Meanwhile, the other part looks quite similar to the surface of Google Pixel devices.

Moreover, the new HTC U12 Life is going to be available in two colours: Moonlight Blue and Twilight Purple. On the other hand, HTC U12 Life specs sport a 6-inch 18:9 screen, the same size as the U12 Plus screen. Moreover, the screen has the resolution of 1,080 x 2,160px and is reportedly notch-less. Unlike its bigger brother, this HTC phone comes with a 3.5mm jack. Furthermore, the HTC device equips a non-removable 3600mAh battery box, but no fast charging.

There is only a regular 10W charger in the retail box. For photography, the HTC U12 Life camera has a 16+5MP dual lenses on its back. In details, the main sensor has f/2.0 aperture and has Phase Detection AF. Meanwhile, secondary sensor is better for bokeh mode. On the front, the HTC phone has another 13MP camera (f/2.0, fixed focus), which has its own LED flash for selfies after dark. Under the hood, the device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with 4GB RAM. As for the storage, it has 64GB ROM and is expandable up to 256GB via the microSD slot. On the connectivity side, the HTC U12 Life is a dual SIM phone with LTE (Cat. 11, up to 600Mbps down, 75Mbps up) and has Android 8.1 Oreo.

This new HTC handset is going to arrive in Europe, Asia and the Middle East in late September. As for the cost, HTC U12 Life price should start at $390 ~ Rs. 28,000.
