HTC U11 Plus review: 6” display, Snapdragon 835
HTC U11 Plus takes the majority of components from its prior model HTC U11. In details, HTC U11 Plus display remains LCD screen, but comes with a bigger 6” screen and improved quad-HD+ resolutions of 1440 x 2880 pixels. Besides, the screen aspect ratio of HTC U11 Plus is also upgraded to 18:9, which gives the handset a bezel-less design and on-screen navigation buttons.
Meanwhile, the HTC U11 Plus specs include a bigger battery of 3930mAh and remains Quick-Charge 3.0 support. In fact, this battery upgrade makes HTC U11 Plus be a worthy reboot and endurance king. On the other hand, the dust and water resistant also improves on this version from IP67 to IP68 for better endurance. HTC U11 Plus’s bigger screen comes with speakers of 30% louder.
Android Oreo 8.0 is official in HTC U11 Plus, instead of Android Nougat 7.1. Meanwhile, this updated version goes with a new translucent color option. The headphone jack has been removed and replaced with a pair of USB-C noise-canceling headphones. Another difference comes from a lower resolution 8MP front sensor with an aperture of f/20.
