HTC U Play has also just been launched at the HTC’s U event. This phone comes with 4GB RAM, two 16MP cameras and more.
HTC U Play: 4GB RAM, two 16MP cams
At the U event on 12th January, HTC launched their new flagship with many new cool specs and features- HTC U Ultra. In addition, this Taiwanese company also introduced their new mid-range handset- HTC U Play. Like the flagship Ultra, this mid-range device also comes with an all-in-one metal body with Liquid design. It’s coated with Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. The phone is also equipped with new HTC Sense Companion which is similar to the virtual assistant from Google or Apple (Siri).
Now, let’s have a look at HTC U Play specs. The phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Helio P10 processor and runs on Android Marshmallow OS out of the box. There are two versions of this phone: 3/4GB RAM paired with 32/64GB of internal storage. If you think this memory is not enough, you can expand it up to 256GB via a microSD card. It owns a 5.2-inch screen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920px and is backed up with a 2500mAh battery supported with quick charging.
In terms of cameras, U Play sports a 16MP selfie snapper with f/2.0, 1µm pixel size and a 16MP cam on the rear panel with f/2.0, OIS, 1µm, and dual LED flash. Together with Al assistant, its four Always-on active microphones allow you to unlock your phone with your voice. You won’t find any 3.5mm head jack on this phone. Like Ultra flagship, this handset also owns a USB Type-C port and the HTC USonic technology which will bring you the best audio-listening experience.
HTC U Play: price and release date
This phone will be available in four colors: blue, pink, black and white. HTC U Play release date is in Q1 of 2017. About HTC U Play price, it will be quoted about $440 for the 3GB RAM version. The higher 4GB RAM model will cost more. So, just stay tuned for more information.
