HTC just launched the U 11 recently. It has some unique features and also has some very nice specs. Now, it is certainly the time to have HTC U 11 durability test. Let’s see what the phone can do!
HTC U 11 durability test: Good scratch resistance, bad at bending
HTC U 11 is the new flagship from the Taiwanese manufacturer. It has great design and builds, and the company also implemented a unique feature to the phone, which is Edge Sense. HTC U 11 specs are great too. Recently, an HTC U 11 durability test happened, carried out by none other than JerryRigEverything, who also test other phones’ endurance in the past. The result is a little surprising, as the new HTC flagship can resist scratches quite well, but failed miserably at withstanding bends!
Throughout the HTC U 11 durability test, the new smartphone held up quite well for the scratch and burns test. After the scratch test, the Edge Sense feature is not affected at all. However, things went wrong for the bend test. When the tester placed a bit of pressure from the front to the back, the phone bends a little. When going the other way, the front glass cracked, and the LCD failed as well. You can watch the whole test in the video below!
The channel stated that the U 11’s 3D curved glass was more rigid compared to the one on the HTC U Ultra, which incidentally survived the bend test. The new HTC phone also does not have a plastic buffer between the glass and the frame to absorb the external pressures. However, doing that may not allow the brand to implement the unique Edge Sense feature, which is among the main selling points of the new phone.
HTC U 11 durability test: Be careful of bending
With the HTC U 11 durability test, we can see the phone’s shortcomings. For now, you just have to be careful not to bend the phone. HTC U 11 price is now about Rs. 48,000. What do you think?
