HTC A55 is not “Mid-range” smartphone, a flagship under the name HTC E9 – the first QHD HTC’s phone
Do you remember the HTC A55 shook the market last month? It has a alleged name of HTC A55, targeted to mid-range segment but interestingly packs some amazing specs also.
Rumor said that the phone therefore arrives with 5.5″ QHD display, powered by Mediatek MT6795 octa-core 64 bit chipset. Additionally, the HTC A55 will pack 3GB of RAM on-board, 32 internal storage in hardware department. Moreover, 20 MP main camera as well as 13MP or 4 UltraPixel front camera (depends on specific market) are astonishing in this range. Don’t stop at that, its phone allegedly has prodigious BoomSound speakers, Bluetooth 4.1, less than 3000mAh battery (not too bad) and new Sense 7.0 on top of Android 5.0.
Seriously, there are too many high-specs packing in a mid-end HTC A55. Too good to be true. And now, according to @upleaks (reliable source that we heard many times before), they said that the HTC is going to release a new phone under the name HTC One E9 instead of alleged HTC A55. So, it means that the HTC A55 do not truly belong to “Desire” Series but in fact in One Series as a flagship smartphone. From the same source, the HTC One E9 could be launched in China as soon as late March. Besides, there will be 3 different paintjobs: white rose gold, metallic gray, and brown gold.
In conclusion: The HTC A55 might be sold in China as a “mid-range” smartphone which is powered by Mediatek MT6795. But in the other hands, the phone is probably named as: HTC E9 or even HTC One M9 Plus in Western countries (running on the Qualcomm chip). It’s not clear when HTC plans to launch it around the world and the phone will soon come with us or not. But we’ll let you know when we find out more.
