HTC Ocean introduced in September is reported to be the upcoming flagship HTC 11. This phone will come with SND 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, dual camera, and more.
HTC 11: allegedly HTC Ocean with SND 835
HTC 10 is the latest flagship of the company. However, this phone was not as successful as the company expected. Now, it seems that HTC is working on the next generation of this flagship- HTC 11. According to some sources, this phone will come with the code name of Ocean. This name sounds familiar, right?! Back in September, this Taiwanese brand introduced its new phone called HTC Ocean. This means that HTC 11 could be HTC Ocean.
Let’s have a look at HTC 11 specs (HTC Ocean). Under the hood, the phone could be powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset- SND 835 SoC. Previously, HTC Ocean was sais to come with 3 versions: Ocean Smart, Ocean Note, and Ocean Master. It will pack 4GB RAM paired with 32GB of expandable inbuilt storage. This ROM amount is for the basic model. So, there will be the other storage versions. This upcoming phone will have a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The phone is reported to sport a 12MP main camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. However, on the video of HTC Ocean, you can easily see the dual camera setup on the rear panel. So, maybe the high-end version will be equipped with the dual shooter. Like the HTC Bolt (HTC 10 Evo), HTC new flagship will come with no 3.5mm audio jack. It seems that the company is following LeEco step to remove the headphone jack from their products. In addition, there will be a USB Type- C port.
HTC 11: price and release date
There is no confirmation about this news. However, if HTC 11 is really HTC Ocean, the phone could be the first step for the company to get back to the games. With SND 835 and 4GB RAM, the phone will be one of the best smartphones in the market. HTC 11 launch date will be in March 2017, at the MWC. HTC 11 price will be announced at this event too. So, stay tuned for more!
