Without a doubt, the highlight details of Huawei sub-brand Honor keynote at the IFA 2018 event this year is the teaser of the upcoming Honor Magic 2. Previously, the first Honor Magic handset was a great device with fantastic design and decent specs. However, the Chinese brand didn’t launch it outside of China. As a result, many Honor fans are looking forward to a global launch of the second Honor Magic generation.
Back at the IFA event, the audience got the chance to see an early prototype of the handset and a confirmation of a few key specs. And today, Honor finally confirmed the arrival of this smartphone through a teaser. Based on the image, the new Magic 2 device is reportedly having a super fast Magic fast charging tech, full-screen display and a slew of AI-centric features. There is also the slide-out mechanism.
Now, let see what Honor Magic 2 specs can pack! Firstly, the Magic 2 specs feature a large 6-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and a tall 19:5:9 ratio. Under the hood, the Honor phone gets power from the Hisilicon Kirin 980 chipset which is based on the 7nm process. Besides, the chipset comes with the Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. Next, coming to the storage, the Magic 2 sports 6GB RAM and two ROM options: 128GB/ 256GB (upgradable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card). In addition, Honor Magic 2 camera comes with a dual 12MP rear lens and 24MP selfie shooter. On the other hand, the Honor device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and equips a non-removable 3300mAh juice box with fast battery charging support (the 40W).
