Do you remember the gaming beast Huawei Honor Play just launched not too long ago? Apparently, the secret to that powerful device is the company’s newest release GPU Turbo. The software will help increase processing efficiency by 60%, and it preserves power by 30%. The best part is there’s no new hardware involved meaning it can be forwarded merely as an OTA update to other Huawei devices.

Furthermore, there was a preliminary schedule announced a week back, including a number of top Honor and Huawei devices. According to He Gang – president of Huawei’s mobile phone division – their Mate 10 series will be the first to get GPU Turbo technology. On a side note, let’s take a look at the gaming phone Huawei Honor Play’s specs again! It comes with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and 19:9 ratio.

Next, the Honor Play gets power from the latest and powerful Kirin 970 chipset. Besides that, this phone sports 4GB / 6GB RAM with either 32GB or 128GB of onboard storage. In addition, the Honor device draws a non-removable 3750mAh juice box. Regarding the optics department, Huawei Honor Play camera system features a dual 13MP + 2MP snapper on the back while the front-facing lens sports a 16MP sensor.

Here is the expected timeline for other models. At the end of June: Huawei Mate 10 Series, Glory V10. Next, in July comes the P20 Series, Mate RS Porsche Design, Flat M5 Series. In August there will be Nova 3e, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 7S, Maimang 6, Glory 9 Youth Edition, Glory Play 7X. In September: Mate 9 Series. Then comes October with the P10 Series, Glory 9, Glory V9. From November to later, the update will arrive in other products.
