Google is working on two mid-range phones with Snapdragon 710 chipset!
Today, the latest ARCore v1.5 APK has made its way online. In the list, we spot the names of various new handsets such as Mate 20 X, Honor 8X, Honor Magic 2, T-Mobile’s OnePlus 6T with a single SIM slot and Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3. However, our attention falls on the possible new Google devices dubbed Bonito and Sargo. If you remember correctly, the first traces of a mid-range Google Pixel smartphone dates back to April this year.
In details, we came across a report claiming that Google is working on a new Desire lineup of mid-range smartphones with the Snapdragon 600 and Snapdragon 700 series of mobile SoCs. Back in June, a tipster also shared that the US brand is working on a Snapdragon 710 SoC-integrated smartphone, codename Bonito. During the same month, another report speculated that they have been working on another “mobile” device.
According to our sources, they are going to belong to the mid-range phone series under the Pixel label. Out of the two, the ‘Sargo’ handset can be the smaller variant of the Bonito device. For now, there is no clarity on these handsets. According to Google’s naming trends, the new fish-related name hints at another smartphone from the company. The latest report speculates that the two smartphones could match the smaller and larger configuration of the Pixel and Pixel XL series.
Google Bonito and Sargo release date and price
As mentioned above, it’s still too early to make any guess or speculations about the phone’s details, nor even the release date. If things go as planned, then the Google Bonito and Sargo handsets could make its debut at the beginning of 2019 and have a price tag of around $400 to $600 ~ Rs. 29, 151 ~ Rs. 43, 727.
