Since the first smartphone release, Google has only been focusing on the high end of the marketplace with its Pixel series. However, with the rise of various affordable phones with fantastic hardware, it’s time for a change! According to our sources, the US manufacturer is now working on a mid-range variant of the recently launched Pixel 3. Previously, this handset made its appearance once under the code name Sargo.
Today, the smartphone finally adopts the name Google Pixel 3 Lite. Regarding the design, there seem to be differences between the two models. There is still the notch-less screen, but the Lite version has a taller aspect ratio. In details, the Google Pixel 3 Lite specs equip a 5.56-inch diagonal screen and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, not 18:9. Furthermore, the display also has the resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels.

Under the hood, the new Pixel phone takes power from the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670 SoC. Besides, it also comes running on Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Regarding the storage, the Pixel 3 Lite model offers 4GB RAM and 32/64GB ROM. Additionally, it also arrives with a microSD card which can expand to 256GB. As for the battery box, there is a 2,915 mAh battery. Incidentally, that’s the exact same battery capacity as the standard Pixel 3. How about the photography system? Google Pixel 3 Lite camera reportedly sports the same 12 MP rear snapper and a single 8 MP unit for selfies. Surprisingly, the Pixel 3 model comes with a headphone jack.
