Google Pixel 2 Owns One Of the Best LTE Speeds, Apple iPhone Comes Last!
In the LTE speed test, Cellular Insights to PCMag ran the test for the practical networks speeds of the latest smartphones. The results of the test are quite interesting. Check it out!
Google Pixel 2 beats iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the LTE Speed Test
Sine the 4G LTE appeared on the market, phone users turn their attention more to the network speeds. Therefore, Cellular Insights set up a test on LTE Band 4 in 2Ă—2 MIMO mode, because Band 4 is pretty common in the US on carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The test of Cellular Insights includes some of the most popular flagships this year, namely Google Pixel 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG V30 and Apple iPhone X.
According to the results of the test, when staying in the same band, channel size, and the number of antennas, Google Pixel 2 owned 35% better download speeds than Apple iPhone X with Qualcomm chipset. On the other hand, the Intel version of iPhone X cannot compete with any phones on the test. Although Google Pixel 2 has a strong connection, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LG V30 hold a longer connection.
In addition, Cellular Insights also tested three Android devices: Google Pixel 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG V30 on LTE Band 4 in 4Ă—4 MIMO mode. In weak signals, Google Pixel 2 perform better than Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LG V30. As for a good connection, 3 of the phones performs well. However, when it comes to the weakest signals, Google Pixel proves to have the fastest speeds. You can check out the full report of PCMag.com here for more information.

The Google Pixel 2 was the fastest, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the LG V30, the Qualcomm-based iPhone, and finally the Intel iPhone. We guess that Apply just sticks to LTE Band 4 in 2Ă—2 MIMO mode because of their battery life. You can check more about Apple slowing down their devices on purpose here.
