Google Nexus 6P getting update: 5.7″ QHD, 12MP cam, Android Oreo
Despite being a released two years ago, The Google Nexus 6P specs are still something to behold. Now with the Android Oreo update, This handset is now top tier in both hardware and software.
Google Nexus 6P specs: 5.7-inch QUAD HD
The Nexus 6P has quite the strong design language. Flat, metallic back that makes a light curve up. Hard edges instead of curved ones to house the power and volume control on the right side. There are also some interesting key points like a finger-sized camera hump that pans beneath the top edge. A horizontal, line-shaped home button instead of a round or square shape. Overall, the design looks robust and masculine, but it also has the feel of a high tech device thanks to some difference from regular phones.
This is an old phone, but this is also a Google’s phone. It is understandable if they are one or two years ahead of the trend sometimes. First look at the device shows a 5.7-inches QUAD HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) screen. Underneath that is a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset model 810. The Google Nexus 6P RAM sports 3GB and three memory options (32/64/128 GB). Sadly, there is no slot for a MicroSD card. It may sound a tad bit mediocre at first, but remember, this is a two-years old phone.
The Google Nexus 6P Camera features 12MP sensors and f/2.0 aperture. The quality of the photo is very good with the HDR mode. The selfie camera comes with an 8MP sensor and f/2.4 aperture. The device operating system is the Android 6 Marshmallow, but that is about to change real soon with the Android Oreo update.
