There has been plenty of rumors and leaks about the most awaited phones this year – Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Now, images of their batteries have been leaked. Let’s see!
Galaxy S8’s battery smaller than Note 7’s one
Just last year, the South Korean electronics giant Samsung was confronted with a massive image problem and huge financial damage due to fire hazard of the company’s high-end smartphone Galaxy Note 7. Samsung was even forced to stop the production and all sales, as well as it had to recall its flagship. Now, the whole world is waiting anxiously for the upcoming Galaxy S8 mobile phone duo!
Samsung Electronics is expected to install a smaller battery in its new mobile phone S8 than in the faulty model Galaxy Note 7. According to recently leaked images, the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 will be equipped with a 3000mAh battery, the larger version Galaxy S8 Plus with 6.2-inches is getting a 3500mAh cell. In comparison, Note 7 owns a smaller 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display but has a battery capacity of 3500 mAh.
As per experts, a too high power density was responsible for the fires. That’s why, Samsung will probably install a smaller battery for reasons of safety, although the new flagship model will be equipped with more and better features than the Note 7. However, a 3,000-mAh battery is around 15 percent smaller than Galaxy Note 7‘s juice pack. That might be not enough to satisfy the smartphone users. Let’s see and wait…
