Foldable Surface phone to sport dual LG Display and Snapdragon 850 chipset!

We’ve seen enough patents, code and rumours to believe that Microsoft can be working on its long-awaited Surface Phone. Notably, these licenses reportedly lead to a particular version of Windows 10, Andromeda OS. This different OS is going to support both ARM and X86 CPUs. Not long ago we have come across a foldable version of the handset. Today, we finally received more information about the so-called “Andromeda” project – foldable Surface phone through a leaked email.

According to the sources, the Andromeda Surface Phone isn’t just a simple “phone”. In details, the Foldable Surface phone is a “pocketable device” following the steps of Microsoft’s successful Surface line with flexible hinges. Moreover, it comes with an API which allows applications to adjust their interface. Additionally, the functionality can also change depending on the hinge’s position. The code reads: closed, concave, convex, flat and full.

Furthermore, we can also expect the Foldable Surface phone to come with a stylus pen support. Unlike its siblings, the Foldable Surface phone hinge can go all the way up to 360 degrees. As a result, the technology allows for enhanced functionality when fully opened or fully closed. Reportedly, the handset is going to take power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Based on the recent patents, it seems like the Surface Phone is now in the development phase. On the other hand, other media sites suggest that the Surface Phone can have magnets on both sides to help it fold. Besides, there was also a design for a foldable notebook style smartphone. Regarding the display, Microsoft Surface Phone specs sport two 7-inch screens from LG Display with 4K resolutions.
