1. Boxing

Boxing is sure a great way to burn calories and tone those muscles. The benefits of this combat sport are countless, and there are few celebrities swear by it. For instance, Gigi Hadid shared her fitness journey to ELLE magazine: “I had to start boxing because I missed working on something and learning and I guess there’s a little more aggression in boxing. I couldn’t really get that side of me out, but I used to be able to by hitting a volleyball. That’s why I started boxing,”

Her younger sister Bella Hadid seems to think the same about boxing. She told E Online “When I work out I love to work out. I train, and I work out hard for two hours.” And how can we forget the iconic Victoria Secret’s model Adriana Lima – who is known for having a strong passion for boxing: “I’ve been boxing for ten years. The best part about boxing is it’s never boring. It’s fun, intense, and is mentally and physically challenging. It also focuses on sculpting, cardio, and helps me stay in shape.”

2. Yoga, Pilates and Mediation

For those who prefer something more calm and gentle, Yoga, Pilates and Meditation are the choices. The relaxation techniques incorporated in these sports can lessen chronic pain, lower blood pressure, reduce insomnia and increase flexibility. For example, supermodel Miranda Kerr does pilates and yoga twice a week, plus planks to strengthen her core. Actress Felicity Jones is also another fan: “I do bits of yoga, pilates, ballet, swimming, and then I like to go running outside rather than go to the gym”. Candice Swanepoel told BAZAAR magazine that she practised yoga and meditation to get zen as well: “They help me a lot; I keep things simple.”

3. Dancing

If you love music and can follow or groove to a rhythm, then dancing is a fun way to keep in shape. Pop star Taylor Swift is often seen going to a dance studio. The dance-cardio class will leave you seriously sweaty and toned—perfect for keeping a long and lean physique. We can never leave out Jenna Dewan Tatum in this category. The actress that played as a leading dancer in the Step Up movie shares her love: “Dancing is fun for me, especially with a good and dedicated trainer. If it’s not fun, I won’t go. We dance, we do routines for 45 minutes to an hour, whatever time we have.”

4. Gym, Weight Training and Mobility

Many famous stars go to the gym and have a trainer. But surprisingly there are some celebrities not fond of weight training since it can make them look bulky and become more muscular. However, few do, and Oprah Winfrey is one example. “I do resistance flexibility, a low-impact strength-training program that involves two, sometimes three, people pushing against you as you push against them.” Recently, Blake Lively dropped a ton of baby weight with the expert guidance of her trainer, who focuses on weight training and mobility. Alicia Vikander also learned to strength train for her upcoming role in the Tomb Raider movie. She gained over ten pounds of muscle and “did a lot of months of training, not only cycling but… MMA training. I lifted more weights than I’ve ever done in my life.” – she told E!

5. Running

“If I could do one workout for the rest of my life, it would be a 2 – 3 miles run. Running helps clear my mind and release anxiety.” – Mindy Kaling confessed to The Chalkboard Mag about her fitness routines. Apart from lifting weights, Oprah Winfrey is also a fan of running. “After the gym, I will go for a run. This morning, I ran 30 minutes on the treadmill and then a giant loop around my 65 acres house. I can jog for a solid two miles without leaving my property.” Furthermore, actress Julie Bowen from Modern Family shared an opinion on her fitness routine: “Running is the quickest endorphin hit I can get. I like to do it really early in the morning before everyone gets up. It gives me a clear head and sort of resets the clock. ”
