FIRST 5 smartphones to sport Android 8.0: 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, 19MP Sony…>

Android 8.0 Oreo is official now that the source code has been published. An update is coming to most devices next year. But some company figure out the update faster others. So here are the five early Android 8.0 smartphones.

1. Sony Xperia XZ1

The Sony Xperia XZ1 launch is coming soon in September. The device features a 5.2-inch full HD screen (1080 x 1920 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset model 835 and 4GB RAM. The storage has 4GB but can be expanded up to 256GB using a MicroSD. The phone’s cameras sport a 19MP sensor on the back and 13MP selfie snapper on the front. The battery can hold 2700 at full capacity.

Sony’s not following the trend has not ended well for the company on many occasion. However, this time it’s a different story. While most devices are on a waiting list for an update, the Sony Xperia XZ1 launch with the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system pre-installed. This sure comes as a nice news for whoever is going to buy this device. Because, after all, ain’t nobody got the time to update from Nougat.

2. OnePlus 3

This old phone sure doesn’t feel old as its specs are still the top tier even on current standard. The device has a Snapdragon 820 chipset and 6GB RAM to work with. So even when the OnePlus 3 release was last year, it still fair pretty well on the market. What’s even more refreshing for the device is that it’s going to get the Oreo treatment real soon. The Chinese company has confirmed that the testings are well underway and an official release is within the year. So possibly late 2017.

3. HTC U11

Sporting a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB RAM, and 128GB ROM, the HTC U11 specs are, without a doubt, one of the best right now. The cameras take a selfie-focus approach with a massive 16MP front camera. The rear shoot features a 12MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture. And the phone is going further ahead now that the company has confirmed the Android 8.0 is to arrive in Q4 2017.

4. Nokia 8

The flagship Nokia 8 has been the topic of discussion for quite a while when it was announced. Featuring a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM and a 5.2 QUAD HD display while being HMD Global’s first attempt at the high-end segment. And there seems to be no rest for the company when the Chief Product Officer confirms the Oreo update for all Nokia phones. Of course, flagships takes priority so by the end of the year, the Nokia 8 should be running Android 8.0 Oreo.

5. Motorola Moto X4

The Motorola Moto X4 price puts the phone in the mid range segment. But that doesn’t stop the company from putting in some top tier specs. For instance, the device got a dual 12+8MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. It also has a 5.2-inch full HD LCD screen, 3GB RAM, and a Snapdragon 630 chipset. And when it comes to software support, Motorola has always been the earliest to update. Therefore, we can expect the Oreo treatment for the Moto X4 to come near the end of 2017.
