Chrome Gold Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium

When Sony first introduced the Xperia XZ2 Premium two months ago, it did say the smartphone will be available in two options Chrome Black and Chrome Silver colours. Today, a new report suggests that the handset will offer another variant. Besides, a picture showing a Chrome Gold variant of Xperia XZ2 Premium has surfaced online. But since the image doesn’t come through official channels, we can’t guarantee if this news is true or false. The only problem is that the company makes some colour options available in selected countries.

So the Chrome Gold Xperia XZ2 Premium might launch in Japan or China only. Moreover, the Xperia XZ2 Premium hasn’t been introduced in the United States yet. But we doubt customers will be able to grab it in Chrome Gold at the launch, so the Chrome Black and Chrome Silver versions will have to do. On a side note, Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Chinese pre-orders will only open starting from July 2. In details, Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium specs include a 5.8-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels).

On top of that, the handset gets power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, along with 6GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Next, Sony battery packs a non-removable 3400mAh juice box and Quick Charge 3.0 charge. In terms of the optics department, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Chinese variant camera system packs a dual 19MP (f/1.8) + 12MP B/W (f/1.6) rear sensor. Meanwhile, the front-facing lens sports a 13MP shooter (f/2.0).
