Call of Duty WWII to be announced on April 27!

The next installment of the very famous FPS game, Call of Duty, is going to be announced on April 27 by Activision. Named Call of Duty WWII, the game announcement will be livestreamed. Fitting with previous speculations, the setting of this Call of Duty installment will be World War 2 (WWII). Sales of the last game was one reason, but many speculate that the main reason was Battlefield 1’s massive success, which is its main competitor. You can see more at the game’s website here.

For this game, developer Sledgehammer Games choose the war some time after Battlefield 1, WWI. It has been recorded as the biggest and most bloody war in human history. The setting has always inspired game developers for their games. There a still many events yet to be covered in many forms of media. Also, with the advance of design technology, it is also expected that players will be able to experience the game in the realest way possible, by stepping in the shoes of soldiers, and be able to see the battlefields all across Europe during that time.

According to previous reports, Call of Duty WWII is supposed to launch late this year, on November 3. It will be available on all platforms like PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, those are still speculations at best, and we need to wait for the official announcement from Activision (maybe all will be revealed on April 27). Hopefully, Activision and Sledgehammer Games will be able to wow us with at least a trailer for this upcoming game!
