So do you still remember our previous post about the leaking of a new BlackBerry smartphone that runs on Android OS – The Blackberry Venice? Yes, it’s been a while already. But we just got new updates from @evleaks – who has seemed to be the source for all BlackBerry Venice leaks so far. According to a tweet Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) shared recently, it looks like this BlackBerry’s slider is ready to hit the shelves in November – which is 3 months from now.
So what does the Venice from BlackBerry look like?
On very first impression, the BlackBerry Venice is expected to feature a large display that can slide up to reveal the iconic physical keyboard from BlackBerry. As we collected from some sources, there is also another possibility that the Venice smartphone will have curved edges like that of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
From the last leaks, we have known that Venice smartphone will be the first BlackBerry device to run on Android OS and we guessed it could be the latest Lollipop version back then. However, since Android 6.0 Marshmallow was set for an upcoming release in the next few weeks, it now seems like the Venice will have this latest OS from Google.
Together with the new Android OS, the BlackBerry Venice is hoped to pack a combination of flagship features to meet public’s demands. BlackBerry Venice specs possibly include 5.4 inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 808 processor and strong-enough 3GB RAM. If the Venice really goes with curved screen from Samsung, it will also feature AMOLED display.
