Today the manufacturer behind the BB brand has sent out “Save the date” invites for an IFA event on August 30th. The invitation hints at possible BlackBerry KEY2 LE launch with dual 12MP cameras and more selling points. Check out the article to discover more about the phone!
BlackBerry KEY2 LE to come at IFA
We all wanted the BlackBerry KEY2, but not everyone can afford one. Therefore, users have been waiting for a budget QWERTY handset to come with good features. Adding fuel to the expectation, TCL Communications, which licenses the BlackBerry Brand, just emailed the save-the-date invitation to reporters. Because this is a reworked version of the Key2 phone, we can expect to see a slower processor, less RAM, and a slightly weaker battery.
According to our sources, the phone’s keyboard lacks the trackpad functionality found on the KeyOne and Key2. Speaking of the screen, BlackBerry KEY2 LE specs feature a 4.5-inch display (1620 x 1080 pixels). The mobile gets power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor (BlackBerry KEY2), paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB/ 64GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB). Besides, the upcoming phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Photography-wise, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE camera boasts a 12MP + 5MP rear snappers instead of the 12MP+8MP dual camera found on the KEY2. Besides, there is no information for the selfie lens of the phone. Coming to the capacity, BlackBerry KEY2 LE battery packs a non-removable 3000mAh juice box. Last but not least, the KEY2 LE iterates the design and screen found on the KEY2 smartphone.
BlackBerry KEY2 LE release date and price
There is not any confirmed information for the BlackBerry KEY2 LE release date and cost so far. Therefore, we could expect to see this phone this year with the price tag of Rs. 25, 000 ~ $362. For the legit scoop, you have to wait until TCL’s event at IFA later this month. Are you just like us waiting for this phone coming? Let us know with a comment!
