BlackBerry Athena to come with 4GB RAM and dual 16MP cam!
If you are a BlackBerry fan, then don’t skip this post. Its upcoming device – BlackBerry Athena – has appeared on TENAA recently with 4GB RAM and dual 16MP cam. Luckily, we are able to catch hold of its specs. Let’s check it out!
BlackBerry Athena specs and design
Codenamed “Athena”, the phone first appeared in a few detailed renders earlier this month. But given the obvious similarities with the original BlackBerry Keyone, those were subject to some fraud speculation from the very get-go. However, a recently TENAA listing for a similar device mostly clears the air on the matter. Apparently, the BlackBerry Athena is real and will likely to release under the name KeyTwo or perhaps KeyOne (2018) moniker with a full QWERTY keyboard, pretty soon.
According to the new leaked photos, there appear to be some differences compared to the original renders. For example, while both place the ‘Convenience’ key on the right side this time around; its shape, position, and the power button seem to be slightly different. The plastic/ rubberised pattern on the back of the device also extends all the way to the top bezel. It’s a departure from the original BlackBerry Keyone design, as well as the leaked new model renders.
Let’s move on to the details underhood. BlackBerry Athena specs include a 5.99-inch LCD screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio and FHD resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Besides, the handset will house the grilled speaker, the USB-C charger and the 3.5 mm jack is on the top. Regarding the storage, the device sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, alongside 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, which expands to 128GB via SD card. Also, the Athena runs on Android Oreo 8.0 and a 3650mAh battery. Besides, BlackBerry Athena camera includes a dual 16MP rear sensor and a 13MP selfie snapper.
