Recent news have been showing that, Asus is trying to bring the “ZEN” line into their future tablets.
After the success of globally popular Zenfone 2, the Taiwanese company is set to also release at least a couple of tablets under the ZenPad brand. Very first versions of the Zenpad will feature 2 screen sizes: Zenpad 7 inch and Zenpad 8 inch.
Zenpad 7 inch is expected to come with 2 variants: the Wi-Fi-only Z170C, and the 3G-capable Z170CG. Both of the models will be launched in July, at least in Russia, according to Asus.

Talking about specs, it seems that the Asus ZenPad 7 may not make any big bang like the Zenfone did. It will sport an IPS screen with 1,024×600 resolution, 8 or 16GB of expandable storage. It features 2 MP rear camera, a VGA front camera, Bluetooth support, and a 3,950 mAh battery.

However, the selling point of Zenpad should be its powerful processor backed by 64-bit Intel Atom X3 chipset. Coming along will be a 1 GHz quad-core CPU, aided by 1GB of RAM. These will do all the heavy tech and boost the Zenpad performance smoothly.

The ZenPad 7 will be available in black and white color options, it will weigh under 300g. Asus Zenpad 7 price in Russia starts at RUB 7,990 for the Wi-Fi-only version. That’s about PHP 7,100. And of course you will have to pay extra for the 3G connectivity. It costs a PHP 900 more, making the device price tag reach 8k in our currency.
Recently, the ZenPad 8 got certified by the FCC. The device is said to come with higher-end specs compared to its counterpart. It may be powered by Intel’s Z3560 or Z3530 chipsets, with 2GB of RAM and 8, 16, 32, or 64GB of memory storage. Furthermore, the 8″ touch screen comes with 2,048×1,536 resolution.
