This week, ASUS finally unveiled their first ever Android GO handset with the storage up to 2TB – Asus Zenfone Live! Keep on reading for more details about the Asus Zenfone Live L1 today!
ASUS Zenfone Live specs
Earlier, Asus has silently launched an Android Oreo (Go Edition) entry-level smartphone. In case you have never heard, Android Oreo (Go Edition) or Android Go is Google’s optimised operating system for low-end devices. Whereas, multiple other Android Go devices – like the Nokia 1, Alcatel 1 or Moto E5 Play – sport a MediaTek chipset. However, Asus offered a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset within the Zenfone Live.
Regarding Asus ZenFone Live specs, the handset works on a 5.5-inch 720p display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone storage provides 1GB RAM, 16GB of storage which is expandable up to 2TB. Whereas, the power box arrives with a 3,000 mAh capacity with the support for two SIM cards. Meanwhile, Asus Zenfone Live camera features a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper.
According to what we learned, the Android Oreo (Go Edition) brings a near stock Android experience (OEMs can slap their UI on it) for low-end devices. Therefore, users can find lightweight versions of Google’s apps such as Maps Go, YouTube Go, Assistant Go and others. Besides, lesser storage uptake by apps means faster operation, quicker multi-tasking, and fewer lags. Also, Android Go also brings dedicated data-saving features with Files Go and YouTube Go apps. In details, users are allowed to use peer-to-peer files and video sharing without the internet connection. Meanwhile, Chrome Go help to save data while browsing, while Google Go and Google Assistant give bite-sized information without pinching much data wallet.
