Apple sued for stealing fingerprint technology by a “patent troll”!
With new technology coming out every day, we sometimes have witnessed many patent infringements situation. It is common to see one smartphone manufacture suing one another claiming to be the original creators of these technologies. This state is the reason why many companies refer to file for the pattern long before their smartphone production phase begins. Notably, Apple is on the list of the most targeted company.
Today, Apple has faced another lawsuit. In details, a Korean named First Face has sued Apple for violating their fingerprint technology. Notably, they claim that they own the patent of the fingerprint scanner, built in the home button of the smartphone, a.k.a. Apple’s Touch ID. Moreover, Firstface co-CEO Jung Jae-lark has been the one to raise the accusations of the technology plagiarism. According to him, their company had filed the patent back in 2011.
Furthermore, he stated that their patent includes the mobile fingerprint authentication system. This location is where the scanner placed in the home button of the device, in multiple countries, such as Japan, Korea, and the US.
