Apple partners with LG for bendable phones
The race of manufacturing bendable smartphone is just getting serious as ever. Apple will compete hard here since Samsung and Lenovo seem to be working on the similar product too. In fact, reports said that Samsung’s Samsung Galaxy X bendable is launching in 2018. So now, we have no idea which one of these three companies will be the first to unveil its foldable smartphone. Also, there is a reason why Apple is teaming with LG to manufacture its foldable iPhones.
The fact is that LG has a substantial experience as it launched the LG Flex which was close to being bendable. Another reason is that Apple wants its foldable iPhone to come with the OLED screen. LG is the only most significant manufacturer of OLED screen and only the only one to supply such considerable quantity to Apple. LG Innotek has also set up a team to develop the necessary flexible circuit boards for such a device.
Besides that, the foldable iPhone may come with an improved processor and futuristic design. The report claimed that there would be 6GB RAM model only for these bendable iPhones. Also, Apple might enlarge the iPhones storage to 512GB ROM which currently limits at 256GB ROM. For the bendable iPhone cameras, we are expecting the company to mount dual lenses on both front and back. It will also be satisfying if the company could offer much bigger battery like 5000mAh.
