Apple held an education event at the Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago. At its event, the company has introduced a new iPad with 9.7-inch Retina display (1536 x 2048 pixels). Besides, the company called this tablet is its most affordable iPad. “The new 9.7-inch iPad takes everything people love about our most popular iPad and makes it even better,” said Greg Joswiak, the Apple marketing executive.
In details, the new iPad might support the Apple Pencil. With the Pencil, users can add smart annotations to Pages. As a result, teachers and students can add marks to the Pages document directly. Besides, the iCloud storage has 200GB. On the other hand, the entry-level iPad gets power from the Apple-design A10 Fusion chipset as the processor and works on iOS 11.3 as the operating system.
Besides, regarding the memory, the new iPad comes in different variants of 2GB RAM with 32GB/ 128GB ROM (no card slot). How about the photographer? The new iPad 9.7 2018 camera features a single 8MP rear sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and autofocus. Meanwhile, the front-facing shooter has 1.2MP with an aperture of f/2.2. In addition, the selfie camera also supports face detection, HDR, and FaceTime. For the battery box, the new Apple packs non-removable Li-Ion 8827mAh capacity.
