The new Apple iOS Upgrade Helps Disable iPhone Battery Slowing Software

Apple has just released the Apple iOS 11.2.5 as the next update to the iOS 11. At the moment, the US tech giant is working on the iOS 11.3 Beta to turn off software that slows down older iPhones. Furthermore, as a part of the upcoming iOS update, iPhone users will get a recommendation if their iPhone needs servicing. In details, iPhone users can see whether the management feature slowing down your iPhone is on. Therefore, they can choose to turn it off.

This new feature is in the battery section of Apple iPhone 6 lines, iPhone SE, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Also, iOS 11.3 offers other features such as ARKit capabilities, new Animoji characters, and brings music videos to Apple Music. Besides that, Apple has also outlined some smaller new additions like Business Chat, which lets you communicate with a business directly from Messages (without sharing your contact details) and a Health Records section in the Health app.

Since December 2017, Apple has received some criticism for slowing down the older iPhone models with weaker batteries. Furthermore, the company also admitted that it throttled the processor on such phones. The compromised batteries couldn’t handle complicated tasks causing the affected iPhones to shut down. Previously, Apple offered a discount for battery replacement as an apology for their battery issues. Moreover, the new Apple iOS updates show that Apple is trying to smooth over the anger of users on Apple’s intentional slowing down older iPhone and becoming more transparent about their change in the performance.
