Apple iOS 12: top 5 features all iPhone users must not miss out!

At the World Wide Developers Conference 2018 event, Apple has given us a sneak peek of their upcoming update on all devices: Apple iOS 12! Notably, here are the top 5 features of this new upgrade you wouldn’t want to miss out!

1. Performace and Screen Time:

The new iOS is going to help make your Apple device feel faster than ever -particularly on older iPhones and iPads. With the new Apple iOS 12, the old iPhone 6 Plus can launch 40% more quickly. Moreover, the iPhone system keyboard reaches 50% increase in speed. Additionally, you can open the camera app 70% faster. According to Apple, they are focusing on speeding up the full range of devices supported by iOS 12.

On the other hand, Screen Time is a new innovative step of Apple on your device to help users strike a better and healthier balance between gadgets and life. This new feature is going to inform you how much time you’re spending on individual apps. Additionally, Screen Time can break down app usage by category (games, social media, etc.) and track which apps are sending you the most notifications.

2. Group Notifications:

If you have a problem with all the notifications on your iPhone, Apple now has the perfect solution for you. In details, the new iOS 12 is going to support grouped notifications. As a result, you can now interact with or dismiss multiple notifications from the same app at once. Besides, the grouped notifications are going to show up in a stack to inform you of how many are waiting for you. Additionally, Apple is also giving their users more authority over which apps are allowed to send notifications that vibrate their phone. We have the “Quiet” notifications will show up in Notification Center, but not on your lock screen. Furthermore, they won’t make sounds or interrupt you in any way.

3. Animoji and Memoji:

Apple now expands their Animoji list with more characters. There is a ghost, koala, tiger, and tyrannosaurus rex. With Apple iOS 12, the Animoji is going be able to detect when you’re sticking out your tongue and mimic that. On the other hand, the most significant advancement of Apple personalised avatars is what Apple calls Memoji. With iOS 12, you can now create characters that have your appearance by choosing skin colour, hairstyle, and even outfitting your Memoji with accessories. It is going to be like a cross between Bitmoji and Nintendo’s Mii characters. Previously, Samsung introduced a similar feature this with their Galaxy S9 flagship.

4. Group Facetime:

With the new iOS, Apple’s popular video chat app is now able to host more than one-on-one conversations. Moreover, the new group FaceTime sessions can include up to a massive number of 32 people. On the other hand, the Group FaceTime is supported across Apple iOS and macOS. When multiple people are on a call, their video windows get larger when they’re speaking and shrink when they’re not. Lastly, you will be able to use Animoji and Memoji characters during calls.

5. Compatibility:

One of the best notice about the upcoming iOS is that it is going to be available on all devices that currently support iOS 11. According to Apple, the older handsets which receive the update are going to have substantial performance benefits. Notably, their key functions now have speed boosts of up to 70%.
