Apple iOS 12 features

Recently, Apple just announced the new iOS 12 at its annual WWDC event. The new update will be available this fall and to all devices which currently run on iOS 11. This means the iPhone 5s and later are getting the update. Same goes for any iPad variant released after 2013. In details, Apple has put more focus on the device’s performance and that’s the first major improvement. The new iOS 12 now operates much smoother than its predecessor with 40% faster app launch, 70% faster camera, 50% faster keyboard; and huge optimizations under heavy load thanks to clever CPU boosts.

Fortunately, we have broken down some of the main features for you guys to keep track! First of all, the new AR Kit focuses on shared experiences, where multiple people could use the same virtual environment. Activities like creating content, playing games, etc – it should be very easy to do all that with friends. For instance, LEGO, among other companies, are on board to create apps that work on the same AR purposes and environments. Next, the Photos app gets an extra For You tab. You’ll find automatically generated albums, suggestions for effects, even sharing suggestions there.

For example, sharing your dinner photos with people you’ve been together with and then it will suggest sharing their photos on their phones too. Siri is also on the list with a new shortcut. You can create shortcuts for actions that this virtual assistant could do: finding your keys, ordering coffee, reserving tables, reminders. Furthermore, Group FaceTime is the next big thing in the new iOS 12. You can now make group video call with up to 32 people at the same time. Apple iOS 12 release date and price

Interesting enough, there will likely be three version of the iOS 12: one for developers, one for beta testers, and one final version for everyone else. The first developer beta is available right now. But it’s still in the early stage so you must be a registered Apple developer to access this beta for $99 of annual membership.
