As usual, Antutu September ranking has just been released for the top 10 best performance smartphones. With the release of many new models, there are a lot of new developments in the top 10 for September! Let’s see below.
1. iPhone 8 Plus
Taking the throne on Antut September ranking is the iPhone 8 Plus, with a top average score of 217,210. With the powerful A11 processor under its hood and the natural advantage of the iOS system, the iPhone 8 series may be the best performing smartphones in a long time, and will be the top choices for many phone geeks. For the iPhone 8 Plus, specs also include 3GB of RAM, and the choice between 64GB and 256GB of internal storage. The display is 5.5 inches, and holds a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels, and around 401 ppi density. This device starts from $799 for 64GB, or $949 for 256GB.
2. iPhone 8
The second place also goes to an Apple iPhone device, with the iPhone 8 also scoring over 200,000 on the Antutu scale. Also powered by the A11 processor, this device has a smaller display than it’s bigger counterpart the iPhone 8 Plus, at 4.7 inches. It also has a lower resolution, at 750 by 1334 pixels and around 326 ppi density. It also has slightly lower RAM available, with 2GB of RAM. This is complimented by a similar choice between 64GB and 256GB of internal storage available for purchase. This device costs $699 for the 64GB model, and $849 for the 256GB model.
3. OnePlus 5
While the OnePlus 5 fell from its first place position in August to the 3rd place position in September, it is still the leader of Android smartphones, with 181,088 points on the Antutu scale. The OnePlus has a 5.5 inch screen, with 401 ppi density. You can get this device with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and with up to 128GB of internal storage. It’s also worth mentioning at this point that all of the top android devices are powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, and the OnePlus 5 is no exception. Finally, this device starts at $479.
4. HTC U11
Coming in at 4th place is the HTC U11, with 179,961 points on the Antutu scale. This phone has great specs, with a possibility of getting 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. Like the other Android phones on this list, it uses a Snapdragon 835 processor, and while it currently runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) the people at HTC have already planned an upgrade to Android 8.0 (Oreo). It also comes with a 5.5 inch screen, with a 1440 by 2560 pixels resolution. This phone currently starts at $649.
5. ZTE nubia Z17
At 5th place in the ranking is the ZTE nubia Z17, with 176,441 points on the Antutu scale. This phone comes in a range of colors, but most distinctly the Flame Red, which really stands out from other devices on the market. It also has a trendy dual camera setup, the Snapdragon 835 chipset (like its other Android counterparts on this list), as well as a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display, with a 1920 by 1080 pixels resolution, around 403 ppi density. It also runs on 6GB to 8GB of RAM, and 64GB to 128GB of internal storage. At around $465, it attempts to be the “cheapest Snapdragon 835 phone”.
6. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (single SIM: Europe and Australia):
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (single SIM version) is the first of 4 Samsung devices to join this top 10, coming in at number 6 with 174,559 points on the Antutu scale. This device is great for big-screen lovers, with a 6.3 inch display with a resolution of 144 by 2960 pixels and 521 ppi density. It also sports 6GB of RAM, and comes in a range of 64GB all the way to 256GB of internal storage. In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, it comes with an Exynos 8895 Octa processor, while in the USA and China it comes with the Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835. This device costs $950.
7. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Global Dual SIM: Europe, LATAM, Brazil, and Australia):
Surprisingly enough, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 actually makes this list twice, with the second entry at 7th place taken by the dual SIM version of the phone. It manages to make the list with 173,716 points on the Antutu scale. In Europe especially, the release of this device was much anticipated as it was the first Samsung Galaxy Note to land there in 2 years. This version of the device comes with dual SIM, which might be necessary for more business-oriented user. This device also comes in at $950.
8. Xiaomi Mi 6
The 8th place is occupied by the Xiaomi Mi 6, with 172,740. This device has been in the making for 7 years, has a beautiful curved metal and glass body, and comes with a host of features one would expect from flagship phones. This includes a dual camera setup, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, and the choice between 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. It also comes with a 5.15 inch display, which has 1080p resolution and HDR video support. This device is also the cheapest on the list, at around $420.
9. Samsung Galaxy S8
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is the 3rd Samsung device to make this top 10 list, and it comes in at 9th with 171,946 points on the Antutu scale. Considered by some the most beautiful smartphone on the market today, it has great camera performance in low light. It’s completely waterproof, and has a Exynos 8895 Octa processor, as well as 4GB of ram and 64GB of internal storage. It also has a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, with a 12MP and an 8MP cameras. It also costs less than its larger counterpart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, at $750.
10. Samsung Galaxy S8+
Finally, the 10th member of the top 10 performance smartphones on Antutu in September, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ makes the list with 170,793 points on the Antutu scale. This device is great for those who love large screens, as it comes with an impressive 6.2 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, with a 2960 by 1440 pixels resolution and a 529 ppi pixel density. It also sports a beautiful bezel-less display, and includes a choice of 4GB or 6GB RAM, with expandable internal storage of 64GB. Finally, it sports 2 high-quality cameras, with 12MP and 8MP cameras. This device comes in at $850.

These 10 smartphones all have excellent performance according to Antutu. Apple and Samsung dominate the list, with Apple taking the first 2 spots, and Samsung taking 4 out of the 10 places.
