Bezel-less phone by Android founder Andy Rubin
A teaser image of a bezel-less phone was just shared on Andy Rubin’s Tweeter yesterday. We have put everything we heard about it here…
Andy Rubin bezel-less phone: specs and design?
Let’s date back to January to see if the event is relevant. At that time, Andy Rubin was reported to be working on a high-end device. Yesterday, he shared a teaser image of a bezel-less phone on his Tweeter. This is very likely the first step of the announcement of a big Android phone. Despite only a corner revealed, the smartphone appears to be beautifully thin and hand-fit. However, since it is the top corner, we don’t know if home button would be removed or not.
Andy Rubin is now the co-founder of Android, founder and CEO of the tech startup incubator Playground Global. He was really excited about the shaping of this mysterious device and eager to bring it to the market soon. What can we see more from the Android phone image? It comes with thin bezels, rounded screen, icons for cellular connectivity, battery, and clock. The new phone is rumored to have “the ability to gain new hardware features over time”. Charging the battery and expanding the phone’s functionality could be done through a proprietary magnetic connector. A pressure-sensitive touchscreen is highly expected too.
From all we can see, the new Android device looks very much like Xiaomi Mi Mix – a gorgeous player in the edgeless phone battle. Sadly, the Xiaomi phone is only available in China. We are waiting for more details about the specs, design, features, camera and release date from Andy Rubin. These are to be shared by Andy or anyone working with him on this bezel-less smartphone soon.
Andy Rubin bezel-less phone: price and availability?
The bezel-less phone is said to come out this summer. The price could be tagged somewhere equivalent to what iPhones and Pixels cost. Are you excited about the launching?
