Android smartphones to have Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates
Last week, Google officially finalized the name of their newest Android OS – which is now known as Android 6.0 Marshmallow. For now, preview edition is ready to be downloaded. Final public version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to show up in late September or early October – together with the rumored device LG and Huawei Nexus 5 (2015).
For now, Google is expected to launch to new OS for their current partners such as Motorola, Sony, Samsung, HTC and Asus first thing before deploying the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for other smartphone manufacturers.
A reliable source – Mydrivers just published a list of devices expected to be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow (on the left column) together with those to be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Take a look at the picture attached below, but please keep in mind that the list is not confirmed yet any future change/ adjustment could be very possible.
As far as we know for now, HTC is the only manufacturer that has confirmed their upgrade for their One M8 smartphone. Although Samsung do hint that the popular Galaxy Note 5 and new S6 series are most likely to get the first trial from Google’s sweet treat, they don’t seem to be so sure with the announcement.
Although not mentioned in the list, Lenovo actually did join the conversation, claiming that they may get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for some of their devices. To be named are: one of their all-time best seller K3 Note, famous camera-smartphone hybrid Vibe Shot and the newly launched Zuk Z1 smartphone.
If what shown in the list turn out true, then we are going to notice one of the most exciting news: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 – currently a hit topic everywhere among tech forums – is going to be updated to. Sold out 800,000 units just in the first 12 hours after release, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is the newest babe of the young Chinese company. This makes the upgrading sounds very possible since Xiaomi want to make their best more and more irresistible than ever.
We are yet to know what the finalized Android 6.0 Marshmallow has to offer. But as it always is, the later will have those necessary improvements compared to the former generation. So we hope that, Android 6.o Marshmallow will continue to please Android lovers with what they already got from Android 5.0 Lollipop – and can surprise them with even better offers on the way.
