If you remember, BlackBerry has launched the BlackBerry Priv in November 2015. It is the first Android smartphone from the Canada brand. Now, the recent reports pointed that BlackBerry is working on three new Android phones: Neon, Argon, and Mercury. It seems that the company finally kicked the BlackBerry OS out of their phones. That also means Android platform might be the BlackBerry’s future.
Let’s talk about the first members: BlackBerry Neon (or Hamburg). We introduced this phone in the previous article and it is called BlacBerry DTEK50. In terms of design, this phone is made out of an aluminum frame combined with soft-coated plastic. On the front, you’ll see a full HD screen with 5.2-inch in size. Under the hood, it is working on an Octa-core SnapDragon 617 paired with 3GB RAM. Other BlackBerry Neon specs are a 2610 mAH battery, 16GB of internal storage, and a combo of 13MP rear camera +8MP front shooter. Interestingly, with the BlackBerry software, BlackBerry Neon is said to be the most security Android smartphone in the world.

Next, let’s have a look at the Argon and Mercury. About BlackBerry Argon, it will be working on SnapDragon 820, with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. the phone also comes with 5.5-inch QuadHD display, 3000 mAH battery (Quick Charge 3.0), and a combo of 21MP rear camera+8MP selfie shooter. You also find a fingerprinter scanner and a USB Type C on the device. On the other hand, the BlackBerry Mercury comes with a 4.5-inch screen, SnapDragon 625 , 3200 mAH battery, 3GB RAM plus 32GB ROM, and a combo of 18MP rear +8MP front shooter. Interestingly, this phone features a physical keyboard.
Android BlackBerry : price and release date
The BlackBerry Neon (DTEK50) is now available to buy in Canada and some other countries, and it costs you about $299. Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Argon and BlackBerry Mercury allegedly come to global market in this October. Until now, the prices of two devices haven’t been unveiled. So, let’s wait for more information.
