Android 8.0 Oreo arrives on OnePlus 5
Previously, OnePlus has informed that Android 8.0 Oreo will be coming to both OnePlus 5 and 5T. This is a part of the OxygenOS 5.0 update. Additionally, the new upgrade will reach a small number of users at the initial stage. In a few days, the upgrade will arrive on a large scale of audiences. OnePlus has updated the list of all the changes Android 8.0 provides. But here are the most highlighted features you might want to take notice!
Firstly, OxygenOS 5.0 offers an upgraded launcher that includes optimisations for the shelf. Furthermore, it equips the ability to let users upload their photos through Shot on your OnePlus handset. On the other hand, OnePlus 5 default camera also has a new UI design. Additionally, there are optimisations for photo quality and a beauty effect for the preloaded Portrait mode. Moreover, the Gallery application now added a “Places” tab to let users view photos on a map.
Secondly, Android 8.0 Oreo/OxygenOS 5.0 also include many system upgrades. To begin with, we have a new feature called “Parallel Apps”. This app allows users to have multiple accounts for social media channels such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn. Additionally, we sport a new design for Quick Settings panel and Lift up display. Furthermore, we have a new “Adaptive model” and system optimisations for Wi-Fi and Battery Saver. Finally, this update additionally arrives with the December Android security patch. And if that isn’t enough, OnePlus users can find a history feature in the Calculator app with an alarm calendar feature in the Clock app.
